- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup of cooked, mashed bananas
- ½ cup green peas
- 1 ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- 2 green chillies
- 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp dried mango powder
- ¾ tsp red chili powder
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Get a medium sized bowl and mix in flour, half of the cumin seeds, oil and salt. Add water a few tbsps at a time to form a dough. Knead.
Heat a tablespoon of oil in the pan, thrown in remaining cumin seeds and saute until the color changes. Stir in green chillies, ginger, raw bananas, garam masala powder, chilli powder, water and cook for 2 minutes.
Add boiled green peas and mash it into the sauteed spices. Switch off heat. Drizzle lemon juice and set aside.
Preheat oven at 180 degrees celsius. Grease the tabletop with cooking oil.
Cut the dough into equal portions and place them on the tabletop. With a rolling pin, flatten out dough into an oval shape. Half and bring the edges together to make a cone shape. Spoon out the banana mixture and stuff it into the cavity. Dab water onto the edges and seal the samosas.
Before baking, spray a little bit of oil on the samosas. Place them on a greased baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Best served hot.
