The following recipe is for a beautiful Mango and Vanilla Custard Verrine which is easy to make and great to serve for guests at dinner parties.
- 3 tsp sugar
- ½ cup mango
- 1 c milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp custard powder
- Cherries for garnish
Mix custard powder and vanilla in ¼ cup milk. Stir well and set aside.
Heat the remaining milk in a saucepan on low flame. Add sugar and bring to a boil. Once the mixture boils, pour the custard milk and stir. When the mixture starts bubbling and turns into a thick syrup consistency, remove from heat and let cool.
Now to assemble the verrines, add vanilla custard mix alternating it with a spoonful of mango pulp until the glasses are full at the brim. Top with chopped cherries.
Refrigerate for at least one hour and serve chilled.
